Historically, the development of health information exchange has been perceived as the responsibility of hospitals, government agencies, and insurance companies. OnePartner has taken a unique approach placing control of the health information exchange in the hands of physicians within the HIE service community.
Ms. Cook will discuss the importance and benefits of health information exchanges to the medical community. She will contrast private vs. government funded programs, and discuss how health information exchange results in cost efficient patient care, improved patient outcomes, and the development of treatment protocols.
Chandra Cook is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a BA in Communication/Marketing and earned an MBA from Kings College in Bristol, Tennessee. With more than 10 years’ experience in health care information technology and the pharmaceuticals area, Ms. Cook now serves as Director of OnePartner HIE
